And so into history
The magnificent sound of 4 Wright R-1820, 9 cylinder radial engines and a couple of Merlins as they fly down the line at Duxford

We where due too get 3 B17 in the air but it was not to be.

Hello.
Nice foto.
There are no Allisons and Griffons in the picture. The P-51 D Mustang is equipped with a Rolls Royce Merlin engine, that Was produced under lisence in the USA by Packard. The B-17 is equipped with Pratt & Whitney 14 cylinder radial engines.

The B-17 is in fact equipped with Wright R-1820, 9 cylinder radial engines - not Pratt & Whitney engines.
